Hey people, my name is Aaron, and I'm from the Midwest (St. Louis, MO). I for the longest time have been thinking deeply about the "SHTF" situation, and have done pleanty of research on survivalism and self-defense. Although (due to my age) I do not own a weapon, and would probably not be prepared in the event of a foreign military assault, I have come to this forum seeking knowledge on keeping myself alive if needed (and I think that knowledge is certainly necessary due to the economic downturn as well as other things that have come up recently).
I am a fan of airsoft, and although I doubt that my open-play airsofting skills would really help in a military assault situation, I like to think it would. When it comes to nuclear fallout / any biological agent / chemical attack, I have some knowledge on medications to aid any wounds from those kind of events. I also have training with hand-to-hand combat, as well as melee weapon combat (actually, swords [I took fencing for a couple years]).
I don't have much experience with survival (I mean urban combat / NBC survival skills) I do know how to survive very well out in the wild, but thats an entirely different story. Anyway, I'll wrap this up by saying I'm glad to be here, and although I might not be the type who posts much (kind of intimidating when your on a forum with people in their 20s and onward who have military experience) I am very appretiative of the information found on here. Thanks for your time, and for actually reading this wall of text!
